Botox, or anti-wrinkle injections?

They are the same treatment. Botox is the best known brand name, and it is what almost everybody searches for, but in the UK clinics describe the treatment itself as anti-wrinkle injections. What happens on the day

Your appointment starts with a consultation. Stacey looks at your facial anatomy, talks through what is bothering you and what you want out of it, and checks your medical history.

The injections themselves take around 15 to 30 minutes. The needles are extremely fine, and most people describe it as a small pinch rather than anything painful.

You can go back to your normal day straight afterwards. Minor redness or small bumps where the injections went in can happen and usually settle within a few hours.

Who it suits

Adults who are bothered by fine lines and wrinkles, anyone wanting to stay ahead of deeper lines forming, and anyone after a subtle, refreshed look rather than an obvious one. It is suitable for men and women.

It is not right for everybody, and the consultation is where that gets decided. If anti-wrinkle treatment is not the answer for what you want to change, Stacey will tell you so.

Common questions

Do I need a consultation before Botox?

Yes. Every appointment starts with a full medical consultation, where Stacey assesses your facial anatomy, goes through your medical history and checks the treatment is safe and suitable for you.

Will people be able to tell I have had it done?

The aim is softer lines, not a frozen face. Stacey treats to your own anatomy so you keep your natural expression and movement.

How often would I need to come back?

Results typically last 3 to 4 months, so most clients come back around three times a year. Having it regularly can extend how long the results last.

Can I have it if I have never had it before?

Yes. A lot of our clients are having it for the first time. The consultation is there to talk it through properly, and if it is not right for you, Stacey will say so.

Is it carried out by a nurse?

Every treatment is carried out by Stacey Pollitt, a Registered Nurse, in a private CQC-registered clinic. It is never delegated and it is not a salon setting.
