Is carboxytherapy safe?

Yes. Carboxytherapy is a safe, non-surgical treatment with minimal risk when performed by a qualified practitioner. At Youthify Aesthetics, all treatments are carried out by registered nurse prescriber Stacey Pollitt using sterile, medical-grade CO₂ equipment in a clinical setting.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions depends on your goals and the area being treated. Most clients see noticeable improvement after 3–6 sessions spaced a week or two apart.

How does carboxytherapy work?

The controlled injection of CO₂ stimulates blood circulation, which boosts oxygen delivery to the area and triggers collagen production. This helps the skin repair and regenerate naturally, improving firmness, elasticity and tone.

Are there any reasons I can’t have this treatment?

Carboxytherapy isn’t suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have certain autoimmune conditions (such as lupus, psoriasis or type 1 diabetes), have skin infections or unhealed wounds in the treatment area or have recently used sunbeds. Stacey will review your medical history during your consultation to ensure suitability.

Does it hurt?

Discomfort is minimal. You may feel slight pressure or warmth at the injection site, but this settles quickly. There’s no need for anaesthetic and you can return to normal activities immediately after treatment.
