Are lip enhancements painful?
A numbing agent is applied to your lips prior to injection this will take around twenty minutes to take effect. The injection also contains a numbing agent to enable the process to be as pain-free as possible.
Are there any side effects from lip enhancements?
As dermal fillers are made up of naturally occurring substances allergic reactions are rare.
However, there are some general side effects which include some local swelling and bruising and occasional mild discomfort at the injection site. These side effects can occur after the treatment and will usually subside within 3-4 days post procedure. Should you experience any other side effects then please contact us immediately.
If you are prone to cold sores (herpes) lip augmentation can trigger a breakout. If you are suffering with cold sores at the time of your appointment, we will be unable to treat you. As it would be harmful to you and can result in further complications.
How long do lip fillers last?
The results are noticeable very quickly after treatment. They can last about 6 – 9 months, however this can vary from person to person. You can have a touch up done whenever you like to maintain a consistent appearance.
